DAP -behind Grand Hôtels new design
This April, Stockholm’s treasured Grand Hôtel has launched the newly renovated hotel rooms in the Burmanska Palace. DAP is behind the refurbishment.
According to the press release, the “rooms and suites in the Burmanska Palace are decorated in contemporary overtones, in a classic framework that is Scandinavian in character with graphic elements, consisting of three colour palettes, Royal, Sandand Blond. The subdued colour and material selections are a blend of marble, white- and black-stained wood, and velvet-meets-silk curtains, along with exquisite leather, wool, and linen elements, and brass details..”
“Fine-art photography depicting classic Grand Hôtel milieus bolsters the three colour schemes. The halls are painted in dark monochrome, enhancing the contrast between the halls and the rooms, and creating a lighter, more open feeling. The walls of the rooms are in soft-white with contrasting warm grey-painted woodwork. Classic chandeliers are complemented with contemporary lighting fixtures, creating a dynamic lighting setting.”
