Interview | Part 1:2 | Åda Golf & Country Club
We have spoken to father and son Isoz. Michael, who runs the Åda Golf & Country Club and his son Petter, who recently moved into one of the eleven DAP-designed houses in the Åda Treehouse area. First out is an interview with Michel Isoz about Åda Golf & Country Club.
Michael Isoz

Åda Gods has soon been in the family’s possession for 180 years, are you planning an anniversary in 2021?
“Yes, but haven’t thought too much about that yet. Still a few years left”, Michael laughs. He has a lot to do as it is.
You are involved in several types of activities, but when did the golf course come about and why?
In the past we had wild breed animals in the area, but in the 1990s a tuberculosis debate occurred in Sweden, which meant that it was very difficult to control all animals, so we began to think about alternative solutions. At the same time, golf became a popular sport in Sweden and the interest was great. I have to point out though, that the final decision to transform the area into ÅDA Golf & Country club took quite some time. In 2003 the course was completed.
What is best with ÅDA golf & country club?
All people you get to know.
What is your best memory from the golf course?
When I, with a cigar in my mouth, finished with an eagle. All in company with good friends.
Your best tips for anyone visiting the ÅDA Golf & Country Club?
The ÅDA Golf & Country Club has a course that men like and women love. We have a hotel, a restaurant with a great kitchen and a good golf course. It is also nearby other villages – a very nice combination. If you are an overnight guest you don´t need to take a taxi to the hotel and restaurant – since everything is within a walking distance.
