The owners wanted a weekend retreat to escape to. The sloping grounds with an unbroken view of two meadows provided the idea for a house full of air, space and originality. The concept of a triangular (in reality pentagonal) house was inspired by the shape of the grounds. The front of the house is glazed while the back is covered in plywood. The first impression of the triangular terrace, aligned between 400-year oak trees, is of a giant compass needle seeking the north. No holiday home in Sweden can have such strong sense of direction!
