Villa Viggbyholm

As soon as you step inside the entrance hall, you have a view across the living room and over the garden lake. This single-family house has a strong indoor-outdoor connection. When the large sliding doors are open, the living room extends out into the garden terrace. This roomy, social area together with the kitchen creates a spacious impression, which is further accentuated by the double-height ceiling in the kitchen. The social area continues into a “balcony” on the upper floor. This room works as a node for the private part of the villa, where all bedrooms are located. The house is built out of wood, and the black façade cladding is made of vertical, thin wood lathes that create an interesting play between shadow and light.
